The Doha Metro and Lusail Tram uniform… Lines and colors inspired by nature in Qatar

On the sidelines of Cityscape Qatar 2018, Qatar Rail revealed the uniform of the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram staff, which was worn by the Qatar Rail hosts at its booth. Maha Khalifa Al Subaie designed the uniform with its elegant lines and colors inspired by nature in the state of Qatar. Maha is part of the Communications and Public Relations team at Qatar Rail and has  a BA in fashion design from Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar.

Commenting on the design, Maha said: "In the design process, I thought out the practical and functional nature of the uniform while preserving elegance and formality. As the brand reflects on land and sea in its core inspiration, I believe the motif of the line creates a story that flows well together. The line is apparent in the boat sails, waves of the ocean and desert, and the futuristic architecture of the city. The garments reflect elegance, formality, as well as openness and welcoming feeling."
