The Sustainability Legacy of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM Event'

Qatar Rail has taken a part in The Sustainability Legacy of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM Event. The event aimed at promoting knowledge sharing and sustainability best practices was organized by the Gulf Organization for Research & Development (GORD) in collaboration with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) and Global Carbon Council (GCC). Sharing insights on ways Qatar met its ambitious climate commitment for the tournament, the event brought together sustainability professionals, carbon finance experts, climate solution providers, innovators and specialists who were directly involved in World Cup 2022 projects. The event features high-level expert speakers from FIFA, SC, Q22, GORD, GCC, Baladna and AEB Speaking at the event, Raimund Hanauer, Director of Transport Planning at Qatar Rail, highlighted the key operational achievements of Doha Metro during the tournament & its role in reducing the carbon footprint.
